The Humpty Dumpty Institute To Take United Nations Diplomats to Chicago, Illinois

April 29th, 2008

New York City, N.Y. — The Humpty Dumpty Institute (HDI) will bring a delegation of senior U.N. diplomats to Chicago, Illinois, May 4-May 6, 2008. Ambassador Aksoltan Ataeva of Turkmenistan, Ambassador Pavle Jevremovic of Serbia, Ambassador Alisher Vohidov of Uzbekistan, Mr. Farukh Amil, Deputy Permanent Representative of Pakistan, Mr. Petr Kaiser, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic, Mr. Viktor Kryzhanivskyi, Deputy Permanent Representative of Ukraine, and Mr. Oh Joon, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Korea will arrive in Chicago Sunday evening, May 4th. In Chicago they will take part in a roundtable with students and faculty of DePaul University, attend lunch with the Sister Cities Initiative and community leaders, give a presentation to the World Trade Center of Chicago, and tour the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Ms. Constance Milstein, Chairman of HDI, says “HDI’s ‘U.N. Across America’ program is designed to show U.N. diplomats areas throughout the United States they might not have the opportunity to visit. We believe that it is extremely important to expose them to the economic and cultural vibrancy of Chicago and give them a chance to forge ties with the city’s business, academic, and cultural communities”.

For a detailed schedule or to arrange interviews with any of the participants, please contact HDI Program Manager Jonathan Landesman at 212-944-7111, or by e-mail at jonathan.landesman@thehdi.org .
