The Humpty Dumpty Institute Welcomes New Board Members

New York, NY — The Humpty Dumpty Institute is pleased to announce the election of Deborah Landey and Reza Bundy to serve as members of its Board of Directors. At the same time, Esther Coopersmith is stepping down as a Board Member after five years of service. Ms. Coopersmith has been a strong supporter of the Humpty Dumpty Institute and her presence will be missed.

Deborah LandeyDeborah Landey is an independent development consultant. She served with the United Nations system for over 30 years where she was a highly regarded senior manager leading and directing large, multi-cultural/multinational teams in the United Nations system in Headquarters and country settings. She served with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS). Her overseas postings included serving as the United Nations Resident Coordinator and United Nations Development Programme Representative in the Philippines and Botswana.

At the United Nations Development Programme, Ms. Landey, as Deputy Director of the Bureau of Management and Director of Human Resources, was involved in leading management reforms with an emphasis on all aspects of talent management. In countries, she managed the formulation of United Nations country strategies and managed United Nations Development Programmes focusing on poverty reduction, national responses to HIV epidemics, the environment, gender equality, peace building and conflict resolution.

Ms. Landey has provided policy advice and guidance to senior leaders globally and raised substantial resources to enhance the coordination and effectiveness of United Nations development assistance. She brings to the Board of the Humpty Dumpty Institute a unique combination of multi-faceted international experience, a passion for organizational excellence, and noteworthy achievements in representation, negotiations, global and national advocacy, strategic partnering and resource mobilization.

Deborah Landey has a Masters degree in International Affairs from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University and a Bachelors degree in History from London University.

Reza BundyReza Bundy brings with him decades of entrepreneurial and executive leadership experience in the private sector. He is the Chairman of the Board and Founder of Mota Motors, Inc., in addition to previously serving as the company’s CEO. He founded IronPlanet, the leading online inspection-based marketplace focused on the $100 billion used capital goods market, which has filed for an IPO with lead underwriter JP Morgan. After the Haitian Earthquake in 2010, Mr. Bundy founded the Haiti Investment Team to facilitate foreign investment in the country.

Prior to these projects, Reza Bundy was lead research analyst at Bain Willard Companies (founded by Bill Bain of Bain & Co), where he researched and evaluated investment opportunities across a broad range of industries. He has also worked for The Economist Intelligence Unit, The International Herald Tribune and ABC News in the Middle East.

Mr. Bundy attended the University of London, where he majored in international studies and also worked as a research associate at the Harvard Business School to Professor Michael Porter. He has completed executive education courses at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School for Government and sits on the board of Rand Corporation’s African First Ladies Initiative.
