U.N. Across America
The Humpty Dumpty Institute's (HDI) "U.N. Across America" is designed to show ambassadors and other diplomats assigned to the United Nations parts of America which they might not normally have the opportunity to visit. HDI organized its first U.N. Across America program in partnership with the United States Mission to the United Nations in April, 2005 with a visit to New Orleans, Louisiana by eight woman ambassadors.
Since then we have taken over one hundred diplomats on visits around the United States. In 2007, HDI programmed 38 U.N. diplomats in Detroit, Houston, Miami, Minneapolis, Jackson, Wyoming, New England, Des Moines, and Nashville. These programs allowed the diplomats to take part in academic round tables, meet local and state political leaders, and gain a better understanding of the people, culture, and economy of the United States of America.
