HDI Brings U.N. Ambassadors to New England

June 2007

The Humpty Dumpty Institute brought diplomats from Turkmenistan, Iraq, Libya, and the People's Republic of China to New England June 14-15.

In Boston, the group had the opportunity to meet with the vibrant student group "Americans for Informed Democracy" which is composed of students from universities around the country. They also met with the American Jewish Committee (AJC) and the Boston Committee on Foreign Relations.

In Augusta, Maine, the U.N. diplomats were privileged to meet with Maine Governor John Baldacci and the Speaker of the House, Glenn Cummings. The group also had a first time experience for all the participants: whale watching off the coast of southern Maine.
